Things Fall Apart Final Paper
Directions: Throughout this unit, we have spent a lot of time talking about analysis, reading for meaning, and the importance of looking more closely for an author's intentions with every scene. By the end of this book, you have practiced these higher order thinking categories a great deal:

Identifying a pattern
Uncovering deeper meaning of character/conflict with a single line
Locating an author's purpose/intention
Comparing cultural differences and seeing value in all cultural practices
Understanding the value of the visual analysis (which can also be described as diction, imagery, tone).

On your last night of reading, your homework will ask you to create five higher order thinking questions. We will take those questions and turn them into thesis statements. We will identify the textual support that best proves your claim. We will especially focus on drawing deep meaning from your quotes that will even further support your thesis.

You will take all of these brainstorming ideas home with you and turn this paper into a 2 page min/max.

*As a new challenge for this paper, you will be citing the page numbers in your paper at the end of your sentences. This is the proper APA citing style and I feel confident you are all ready to incorporate this into your writing.
